LOS GATOS

LG NJB participates in two divisions of NJB: Divisional and All-Net.

The majority of children play at the Divisional Level.  At the Divisional Level, there are no tryouts - only evaluations (for team balancing purposes).   All children who participate at the Divisional Level receive guaranteed playing time throughout the season. Divisional players must attend Evaluations in order to form balanced teams.  Divisional teams are coached by volunteers (typically parents of children on the team).  More information on Divisional NJB can be found here.

The All-Net level is a more advanced level where players must qualify through All-Net Tryout sessions.  All-Net teams compete against other high-level teams in the bay area and are coached by experienced, professional coaches.  More information about All-Net can be found here.

Divisional Evaluations will be held according to the schedule shown below.  

Players not trying out for All-Net, as well as those that don't make an All-Net team, must attend ONE Divisional Evaluation. The evaluations help coaches form evenly skilled teams.

Please have your child wear a LG NJB jersey if they have one. If not, either a black or white t-shirt works as well. This will help us split up teams for scrimmaging.

The regular “Division” teams are divided as follows:

• Boys Division 1, 7th/8th grade
• Boys Division 2, 5th/6th grade
• Boys Division 3, 3rd/4th grade
• Girls Division 1, 7th/8th grade
• Girls Division 2, 5th/6th grade
• Girls Division 3, 3rd/4th grade
   
• Mixed Division 4, 2nd grade (New for 2022/23)

Divisional Evaluations
Players only need to attend ONE of the two evaluations for their age group.

Boys Evaluations:

Boys D1 (7th/8th Grade):
October 15th (Saturday) at 9:00am - 10:15am (CT English MS)   OR
October 22nd (Saturday) at 1:30pm - 2:45pm (Union MS)

Boys D2 (5th/6th Grade):
October 15th (Saturday) at 10:30am - 11:45am (CT English MS)   OR
October 22nd (Saturday) at 3:00pm - 4:15pm (Union MS)

Boys D3 (3rd/4th Grade):
October 15th (Saturday) at 12:00pm - 1:15pm (CT English MS)   OR
October 22nd (Saturday) at 4:30pm -5:45pm (Union MS)

Girls Evaluations:

ALL EVALUATIONS WILL BE AT UNION MIDDLE SCHOOL

Girls D1 (7th/8th Grade):
October 8th (Saturday) at 9:00am - 10:15am   OR
October 12th (Wednesday) at 8:00pm - 9:15pm

Girls D2 (5th/6th Grade):
October 8th (Saturday) at 1:30pm - 2:45pm   OR
October 12th (Wednesday) at 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Girls D3 (3rd/4th Grade):
October 8th (Saturday) at 3:00pm - 4:15pm   OR
October 19th (Wednesday) at 6:30pm - 7:45pm

Tryouts for All-Net teams will be held according to the schedule shown below.  The schedule and location for All-Net Tryouts is posted below.

Players Not making an All-Net team MUST attend one of the Divisional Evaluations the following weekend. See below.

The All-Net Teams are divided as follows:

• Boys All Net, 8th grade (Open Divison)
• Boys All Net, 7th grade (Open Division)
• Boys All Net, 6th grade (Open Division)
• Boys All Net, 5th grade
• Boys All Net, 4th grade
• Girls All Net, 8th grade
• Girls All Net, 7th grade
• Girls All Net, 6th grade
• Girls All Net, 5th grade

All-Net Tryouts:
It is strongly recommended that players trying out for All-Net attend Both days of evaluations.

PLEASE NOTE:

• THE GYM WILL BE CLOSED TO PARENTS DURING ALL-NET TRYOUTS.
• REFRAIN FROM HAVING PLAYERS COME INTO THE GYM DURING THE TRYOUTS OF THE GRADE PROCEEDING THEIR TRYOUT.
• THE GYM LOCATION MAY BE DIFFERENT DEPENDING ON THE DAY.
• PLEASE ARRIVE AT LEAST 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR TRY OUT WINDOW SO THAT WE CAN CHECK YOU IN.
